FAQS
DO I NEED TO SEND IN A MANUSCRIPT FOR THE CRITIQUE WHEN I SEND IN MY REGISTRATION?
No. First send your registration and the separate check to reserve your critique. Manuscripts will be sent to a different address, and must be received by October 1st.
CAN I PICK THE PERSON WHO CRITIQUES MY MANUSCRIPT?
We will be assigning critique slots on a first-come, first-filled basis, taking each faculty member's preferences into account. While we will try to honor requests of this nature we cannot guarantee anyone a particular critiquer.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SUBMIT MORE / LESS THAN 10 PAGES OF MY NOVEL FOR CRITIQUE?
You are welcome to submit fewer than 10 pages if you choose.
For longer works, 10 pages plus a two-paragraph synopsis of the story is the maximum submission we can allow. Additional pages will be returned unread.
DO I NEED TO BRING MANUSCRIPTS TO SUBMIT TO THE FACULTY ON THE DAY OF THE CONFERENCE?
No. Conference participants will receive "coupons" allowing one manuscript submission to each editor / agent. These coupons will be good for 6 months after the conference, allowing participants to revise their manuscripts based on what they hear at the conference and send them directly to the editor / agent at a later date.
